Hazardous Waste Generation
Rules
No more than 55 gallons may be stored at the point of generation
Storage containers must be marked and labeled:
Marked: “Hazardous Waste”- with approved label
Type of waste- list all contents and estimate amounts
Date when waste was first placed in container
When an on-site container is full, it must be moved to a temporary storage facility – date and print name of person closing container
Policy
At points where generation rates are low, smaller storage containers will used if practical
When an on-site container is nearly full, the generator will contact:
